A green burial comprises of laying your beloved pet to rest on a bed of organic material & covered with the same to go back to the earth as Nature intended. A far cry from the landfill site.

Dr Melanie Jones, Veterinarian, Environmentalist and owner of the Company Zero to Landfill Organics, manages the site and scientific process of Green Burials, including compliance with the Department of Environmental Affairs and the Department of Environmental Health.

Our Green Burial/Composting site is a working compost site, it is important for pet owners to understand that the burial mounds are turned regularly to evoke the heat needed for the natural break-down process to occur. The difference between this and a normal burial ground is that it is a working compost site, one can expect to see large burial mounds where pets and horses are laid to rest. The burial site is privately owned and not open to the public unless by appointment.
