Amanda-Lea Jones

Amanda-Lea Jones

Shareholder and Director

Amanda is a mom to two girls, she is also the daughter of Lesley Jones. Amanda began assisting Lesley in 2008 with the City Tender to collect deceased animals alongside municipal roads. She continues to help run this service whilst also working as a Crisis Worker and Fundraiser for an NGO specializing in Child Sexual Abuse.

Amanda loves that Pet Farewells is a small family-owned business, she believes it is important to connect with every caller and wants Pet Farewells to always be associated as such as opposed to the large, corporate franchise.

Wilfred Abrahams

Wilfred Abrahams

Shareholder

Wilfred is the Father of Pet Farewells, he is loved by all the vets and pet owners he comes into contact with. He brings with him the biggest smile and the feeling that all will be okay. Wilfred has a long-standing working relationship with Lesley with whom he ran a recycling business together before deciding to tender with the City and eventually start Pet Farewells.  Pet Farewells is lost without Wilfred, he is the most hard-working and reliable guy you will ever find.

Some interesting information about Wilfred, he is a proud member of the Cape Town Minstrels and if you catch him on a good day, he may do a little performance for you!

Yuseen Jenkins

Yuseen Jenkins

Driver

Yuseen has been working for Lesley and Wilfred for more than 10 years. He began as a driver assistant and, through the business, obtained his learners and driver’s license. He then worked as a driver assisting with the City tender collections and in 2019, moved over to Pet Farewells to assist Wilfred with private pet collections.

Yuseen is a dad to two small children, he is very much a family man and has learnt well from Wilfred over the years. Yuseen is always smiling and going the extra mile, he is genuine in his ability to console and provide peace of mind to pet owners who struggle emotionally after the loss of their pet. Yuseen is a great asset to the Pet Farewells team.
